Josh Garrett:
Josh Garrett is a songwriter, singer and guitar player from New Roads, LA. He and his family relocated to Houma, LA when Josh was a child. Josh picked up his father’s guitar when he was 12 years old and started writing songs soon after. By age 20, Garrett was performing several times a week in Houma, LA. At age 24, he recorded his first album entitled, “Changed Man” and never looked back. Josh and his band started to travel regionally to promote his new album. In 2008, he relocated to Nashville, TN. While there, he recorded his second album, “Live on Printer’s Alley” - a double album released Nov 2009. In 2010, Josh returned home to Louisiana, and began work on his third album. "String of Problems”, released Aug 2011, hit #1 on the Roots Music Louisiana Blues Charts, and hit the #1 Spot two weeks in a row on American Blues Scene “Blues Top Five”. While continuing to tour and promote his unique brand of Louisiana roots and soul, Garrett recorded his latest album “Honey For My Queen”.
Josh still resides in his home state of Louisiana near Baton Rouge.
Ben Labat:
Ben Labat is an Folk Rock artist who has released 5 studio albums (A Face for Radio 2010, Soapbox Anthems 2012, The Revival 2014, Homeward 2017 and Doin’ Life 2024) over the last 14 years.
On any one of the songs on their debut album, A Face for Radio, and their sophomore effort, Soapbox Anthems, there are musical elements ranging from reggae to country, pop to folk. This is a direct reflection of both Ben and the band's appreciation and love for all modes of music. Their third album, The Revival, is an upbeat and powerful collective work reflecting the roller coaster ride, while, Homeward, is a deeply introspective journey into the folky forest.
From early on it became evident that Ben Labat’s talent could not be ignored. As the lead singer/songwriter of the band, The Terms, Ben worked with iconic rock producer and Grammy winner Greg Ladanyi (Fleetwood Mac, Jackson Browne, Don Henley) on their debut album.
Over the last several years, Ben has performed all over the US in the some of the most prestigious venues including The House of Blues and Tipitina's in New Orleans, New York City's Cutting Room, Los Angeles' Viper Room, The Exit in Nashville and has opened for Anders Osborne, Better than Ezra, Pat Green, Blue Traveler and The Iguanas among others.
As a songwriter, several of Ben's songs have been featured on CBS’s "The Ghost Whisperer", MTV's "The Real World" and "Jersey Shore", the Kevin Spacey produced film "Mini’s First Time", and "Middle of Nowhere" starring Susan Sarandon.
